Half Day Barron River Rafting
The Barron River is perfect for anyone who has never tried White Water Rafting, maybe feeling a little nervous or if you are looking for something cool and refreshing to do for an afternoon that is close to the city centre of Cairns.
Located just 30 minutes north west of Cairns the Barron River flows through the Barron Gorge National Park, this is picturesque with numerous wildlife to be seen as well as seeing some of our Native species of Fish and Turtles.
This is a controlled river also generates hydro electricity, which allows rafting all year round with guaranteed water levels. The grade rapids are of 2 & 3 and also includes the Rooster Tail where you will have action packed photos taken. You can also try raft surfing here (dependent on water levels) and then cool off with a swim in Lake Placid.
