Itinerary
Your day begins with your friendly Driver/Guide picking you up from your Cairns Accommodation (Northern Beaches is an additional fee) You will then be transferred to Cairns or Freshwater Railway Station to board the Kuranda Train, travelling up the Kuranda Range you will be treated to spectacular views of the Cairns City and surrounding mountains and overlooking Trinity Bay. You will be given informative commentary learning about this engineering masterpiece and you will be left wondering how this amazing railway line which carves its way through the mountain was all done by hand at the turn of the century. You will be stopping at the Barron Falls and in our wet season this is spectacular and then continues onto Kuranda Station.
Short walk from the station up into Kuranda village where you can enjoy a day’s shopping at the famous Kuranda markets or maybe explore one of the many other attractions such as Kuranda Birdworld, Butterfly Sanctuary and Koala Gardens these are additional costs. Stroll down to Skyrail and board the 3pm Skyrail back to Caravonica where we will meet you at 4:15pm for your transfer back to your accommodation or Airport. You may also wish to add in the Tjapukai Aboriginal Theme Park and be treated to Aboriginal Dancing, Story Telling, learning of the traditional custom and being treated to their dream time.
