Outer Barrier Reef – Agincourt Reef – Snorkel & Dive

To experience the best of what the very edge of the Outer Barrier Reef has to offer why not join us onboard a modern 29 metre catamaran  one of  the fastest vessel to the reef, you'll be treated to over 5 hours exploring the wonders of this magical  underwater world.  This stage of the art boat travels at 32 knots allowing you to arrive at your destination fast and comfortable to maximise your time at Agincourt ribbon reef.  You will be the only ones at these exclusive dive and snorkel sites, There is the opportunity of exploring 3 different sites so you can choose 3 certified dives 2 introductory dives or 3 different adventure snorkel locations. This vessel is dedicated to Snorkelers and Divers.

 

With the numerous reef sites available, you will be able to experience, different marine life and corals from these selected sites.   You are also able to relax on the sundecks whilst admiring the views of the Coral Sea.

Your crew will ensure you have all you need to make the most of your day on board, which includes full bar facilities, a hot and cold tropical buffet lunch, fresh water showers, morning and afternoon tea.

For those who just want to snorkel you can take part of a trained marine interpreter gives a thoroughly informative coral and marine life brief before conducting a 30-40 minute interactive expedition over shallow reef formations discussing throughout the tour what is observed by the passengers. 

Even though the boat is survey for 130 passengers they only take a maximum of 80 to allow for passenger comfort and high staff to passenger ratio.

Your Day

08.15 am:
On boarding enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and a foccacia bread. For your safety, hot drinks are not served once the vessel is underway. Passengers are required to be onboard the vessel 15 minutes before departure.

08.30 am:
Depart Marina Mirage for the trip to the Outer Barrier Reef. On the way, detailed certified and introductory dive briefings are given

10.00 am:
Arrive at the 1st site. If you are diving gear up, while snorkelers listen to a site briefing by the snorkelling advisor. Get ready to view the beauty of this natural wonder!

11.30 am:
Move to 2nd site... After the initial water activities, enjoy a tropical hot and cold lunch [included in the fare] served in the air conditioned cabin. The lunch includes fresh prawns, pasta, meats, salads and fruit. There are bar facilities available where you can purchase drinks.

01.15 pm:
Now it is time to move to the 3rd location on the Agincourt Reef,  Option for introductory divers to do second dive and certified divers to do their third. Snorkellers are once again briefed as to the best areas to snorkel.

Afternoon tea is served.

03.00 pm:
Depart Agincourt Reef for Port Douglas. Reef video viewing on board.

04.30 pm:
Arrival at Marina Mirage, Port Douglas

Coach Transfers

Ex CAIRNS accommodation

For guests staying in Cairns accommodation, Silver Series will collect you by coach from your hotel/accommodation and transfer you to Port Douglas.

Ex PORT DOUGLAS accommodation

For guest staying in Port Douglas accommodation, a coach transfer is provided.

ADDITIONAL COSTS: EMC $5.50 per person

An Environmental Management Charge of $5.50 is levied for all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area. The Government Environmental Management Charge is payable direct by passengers to Silversonic on the day of travel or unless otherwise arranged with Silversonic.
