Transfers to and from Cairns Airport are not included.  If you wish to have transfers included it will be an addittional $27.00 per person for limousine car transfer based on two passengers.  If you wish to catch a Taxi from your Cairns City Accommodation you will be looking at approximately $20.00 one way.

Your day begins with an early morning check in at Hinterland Aviation Cairns General Aviation Airport at 6.00am for a 6.45am departure.

Fly from Cairns to Cooktown enjoying the spectacular views as you fly along the coast along the Cairns Northern Beaches, Port Douglas, over the Daintree Cape Tribulation area, Bloomfield and see the amazing  World Heritage rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. This gives you a view like no other and certainly a memory to last a life time.  On arrival in Cooktown  you will be met by Nugal-warra Elder Willie Gordon of "Guurrbi Tours" and driven to Hope Vale, this is a small Indigenous community,  where you will visit 6 rock art sites on his traditional country. Here he shares with you the stories behind the art, and his relationship with the land. The Rainbow Serpent tour tour takes you through a dramatic landscape to six rock art sites, including an ancestral Birth Cave and the Reconciliation Cave. An estimated 30 minute bush walk on generally easy terrain.  This is truely a magical experience and one that will remain with you for ever.

Return to Cooktown at 1.15pm where you will be taken to the Nature Power House Museum for a delightful lunch at the Verandah Cafe.  Browse through Nature Lover's bookstore, local artworks and souvenirs. You will then have the remainder of the afternoon to explore this historical town, which was a hive of activity in its hay day for the Gold Fields close by, also famous for the visit of Captain James Cook back in 1770 which put Cooktown on the Map. Visit to the world class James Cook Museum or take a stroll down the main street and discovery the history.  You will then be transfered at 4.30pm to Cooktown airport for your return flight home the scenic way with Hinterland Avaiation at 6.05pm, arriving Cairns at 6.55pm. This is a truly memorable experience you won't forget it. Please note flights depart with Hinterland Aviation, Tom McDonald Drive, Cairns General Aviation Airport.
