Tour Description
Enjoy early birding at the Mareeba Wetlands with a guided tour of the Reserve

Woodlands and Wetlands habitats. This guided tour is excellent for seasoned
birdwatchers or as an introduction for beginners with  their own resident Guide.
  Dollar bird
Starting at 7.00am,  (can be earlier in the summer month) expert bird guide will drive you through the Reserve, stopping at
habitat sites for bird spotting on the way to Pandanus Lagoon and other parts of the reserve. The morning is usually  also
excellent for spotting wildlife along with many different species of birds endemic to the area and also migratory.

There are 217 species of birds on this magnificent 5000 acre reserve and you will have the opportunity of seeing between 30 - 60 species
in this short time.  After the tour you will then return to the Visitor Centre on Clancy's Lagoon where you can enjoy a wonderful Devonshire Tea or
one of the many delights waiting to tantilise the taste buds.

You will also be given a bird list where you can mark off the different species of birds seen on the tour.

You are then welcome to stay and explore other parts of the reserve or perhaps even enjoy one of the boat cruises.
